Breast & Chest Surgery Recovery Support

A gentle post-op care option that many people don’t know exists.

Recovering from breast or chest surgery can feel vulnerable—physically and emotionally.

Navigating new limitations, altered sensations, and feelings of disconnection from your body that you may not have been prepared for can be just as challenging as the surgery itself.

Gentle and painless manual therapy plays a meaningful role in this healing process. Through slow, supportive, and intentional touch guided by your comfort and consent, treatments help the affected area feel integrated again, fostering a sense of reconnection and confidence as you move forward in your recovery.

Why this kind of support matters after surgery

Even when surgery is successful, it’s common to experience ongoing pain, tenderness, tightness, numbness, pulling, and movement limitations during and after recovery. Scar tissue, soft tissue restrictions, and other common complications can also affect posture, breathing ease, and confidence in your body. Supportive hands-on care can help you feel more safe, comfortable and confident in your movements as healing progresses.

This care is designed to gently support:

  • Tissue mobility and flexibility
  • Circulation and lymphatic support
  • Scar comfort and softening restrictions
  • Numbness or altered sensation
  • Mobility in the chest, ribs and shoulders
  • Management of common complications
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Reduction in guarding and fear of movement
  • Rebuilding a sense of connection with your body
  • A calmer, more supported recovery experience

What makes this care feel different (and safer)

Consent-forward, comfort-first

This is not “push through it” care. We go slowly, check in often, and adjust pressure and pacing based on what feels safe in your body. You are always in control, and consent is continuous and collaborative.

Cancellation policy

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone's life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

No-Shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a No-Show, and will be charged the full amount for their missed appointment.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
