Scar restrictions can show up in ways that feel confusing

Gentle and painless manual therapy offers a safe and supportive approach to rehabilitation after surgery to promote optimal recovery, reduction in side effects, prevention or mitigation of post-op complications, reduction in guarding and fear of movement, and improvements to well-being and quality of life.  If you’re feeling nervous or unsure where to start, you’re not alone. Sessions are calm, respectful, and comfort-first—designed to help you move and feel better without pushing through pain.

Scar restrictions can show up as pain or discomfort, pulling or tightness, itching, numbness, hypersensitivity, and limited range of motion—sometimes right at the scar, and sometimes in the way your body moves overall.  Whether your surgery was recent or years ago, support is available. No scar is too small or too old to benefit from this work.

And sometimes the symptoms show up somewhere else

Because scars can create restrictions through the body’s connective tissue, you may notice symptoms in a different area than the scar itself.

“Stacey is knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. She is professional and friendly. She took the time to explain my treatment thoroughly and I saw immediate improvement directly following my appointment. Relaxing and pain relieving experience.”

Let’s get you reconnected to your body.

It’s common to feel anxious about touch after surgery, injury, or a big body change, especially when you have experienced painful rehab or are told that nothing more can be done for your ongoing pain and limited mobility. This can be mentally and emotionally devastating, keeping your nervous system stuck in a state of threat and tension which impacts not just your body, but confidence, mood and sense of safety within your own body- leading to emotional and physical disconnection. To help foster a new sense of awareness and connection to your body, sessions are slow and gentle, guided by your comfort. You don’t have to “tough it out” to benefit.

What scar tissue is—and why it can feel “stuck”

Scar tissue is the fibrous tissue your body forms after surgery or injury. It does not move freely like healthy tissue, and its limitations can affect large areas around it, which can cause pain, tightness, pulling, discomfort, and other symptoms, which can lead to limited mobility,  guarding, and fear of movement.

Breast & Chest Support
(Pre + Post-Op)

Recovery can feel vulnerable. This is a comfort-first, consent-forward space designed to support you before or after breast or chest surgery—including breast cancer surgery and gender-affirming top surgery. We go slowly, check in often, and work within your comfort level to promote optimal healing and recovery.

Warm, respectful care—backed by experience

My work is rooted in a deep commitment to supporting those navigating life after surgery- especially individuals recovering from breast cancer and other complex procedures. Over the years, I’ve seen how many people continue to live with pain, restriction, and discomfort long after they’ve been told they’re “healed.”

That gap in care is what drives me.

Through gentle, specialized manual therapy, my goal is to help restore movement, reduce pain, and support your body’s natural ability to heal- while also honoring the emotional experience that often accompanies recovery. I strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen, supported, safe and empowered in their healing journey.
