Sharon Wheeler's ScarWork Method (TM) consists of gentle and effective manual and mobilization techniques which integrate scar tissue into the surrounding fascial web. This method affects the texture and quality of scar tissue, improving symptoms resulting from all types of surgeries, traumas or burns. Scar tissue may cause pain, pulling, itching, numbness, limited range motion, emotional distress and other symptoms. Not just at the site of the scar, but other areas of your body as well.
This educational session is intended to promote lifelong optimal breast health through self treatment and to familiarize yourself with your breast tissue so you will be much more aware of any changes. You will learn how to perform a thorough visual and manual breast exam, as well as a breast lymphatic treatment. A shorter follow-up visit may be scheduled to review the material and make sure that you are totally comfortable with the process.
John Barnes Myofascial Release is a specialized stretching technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Uneven stress can be transmitted through the fascia to other parts of the body, causing pain and a variety of other symptoms in areas you may not expect. Myofascial Release treats these symptoms by releasing the uneven tightness in injured fascia.
Gentle myofascial techniques to the jaw, neck and head are combined with therapeutic massage to alleviate symptoms related to TMJ dysfunction. Intraoral work is included if client is comfortable.
